How do I create a preview?

Take or upload a selfie, then choose a dye style (e.g., full color, money piece, ombre, dip dye). Next, pick a color from presets, your saved custom colors, or scan a real hair dye box. Tap 'Preview' and our AI will process your image in seconds.

What are custom colors and dye styles?

Custom colors: You can create and save your own shades (name + color) in the app. They appear in your palette for quick reuse. Dye styles: These control how the color is applied (e.g., all-over, money piece (face-framing), dip-dye (ends), or ombre (gradient)). Choosing a style makes the preview match how you’d actually wear the look.

How accurate are the results?

Our AI considers your unique hair texture and lighting for the most realistic result possible. For the highest accuracy, we recommend taking a clear, well-lit photo of a physical hair dye box. Our AI will analyze the packaging to extract the exact shade.

How does the subscription work?

DyeMe operates on a subscription model. With an active subscription, you can create unlimited hair color previews. Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store and automatically renew unless cancelled. You can cancel anytime through your App Store account settings.

Is my data safe?

Yes. Your photos are processed securely and are only used to provide you with previews and history. We do not sell your data to third parties.
